IT within the Federal Logistics and Mobility Office– Think differently!“
IT in the public sector is challenging, diverse and, in our case, more different than you would maybe expect. For each of the numerous different tasks that we are performing in line with our statutory mandate, we offer tailored technical solutions that need to be developed, tested, implemented and supported.
But what makes work in our IT section so special?
In order to execute our various tasks timely and efficiently, we have established a modern and high-performing IT infrastructure: Besides maintaining the technical applications for internal service tasks such as civil offence proceedings or funding programmes, our IT section provides above all support for the hardware and software employed by our Road Toll Control Service or Roadside Inspection Service. We thus primarily support and accompany the development and employment of technical control systems integrated in our control vehicles. Our top priorities in this context are to ensure that our control vehicles are always equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and to enable the digital management of proceedings by our internal service through appropriate interfaces. We offer you a first-hand experience in our sophisticated, innovative and complex IT environment.
All of this would not work without our data processing centre which forms the heart of our IT infrastructure. It connects our head office in Cologne with our 15 IT sites throughout Germany and provides several interfaces to German and European agencies. All of this is of course not run by artificial intelligence, but is processed, refined and enhanced on a daily basis by our approximately 50 IT specialists.
But which of the various tasks of our IT section is awaiting you specifically?
Here are some impressions that we compiled for you:

Most important of course is the personal first-hand experience.
