The BALM is responsible in the Federal Republic of Germany for the registration procedure pursuant to Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/520 in accordance with § 4 MautSysG.
Companies located in the Federal Republic of Germany may submit their application for registration as an EETS provider to the BALM in accordance with § 6 MautSysG. The requirements for proving the prerequisites for registration regulates the Toll Service Registration Ordinance ("MRegV"). Successful registration grants the right to enter the accreditation procedure.

An EETS provider can only provide toll related services if it has been accredited by the BALM.
In this EETS register, the BALM provides information on providers who have been granted restricted accreditation to provide toll related services in accordance with § 11(1) MautSysG or who have been accredited in accordance with § 10(1) MautSysG.
