All tariff distances of the Federal motorways and Federal highways that are subject to tolls are compiled in a table. This is known as the toll table. The tariff distances are the basis for billing the route-related user charges.
The Federal Logistics and Mobility Office performs the sovereign tasks in enforcing the truck toll. Toll Collect GmbH has been entrusted with setting up and operating the toll collection system in Germany (hereinafter referred to as: Toll Collect).
As part of the toll statistics, data on mileage and journeys by vehicles subject to toll on the toll route network in Germany are evaluated according to various criteria.
Upon request, the Federal Logistics and Mobility Office will reimburse excessive tolls.
The aim of the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS or in German EEMD for europäischer elektronischer Mautdienst) is to enable its users to access the European toll road network with just one contract and one on-board unit from an EETS provider.
