Verkehrsdatenmanagement

The BALM has a wide variety of data at its disposal. When processed, this data is of great interest for answering traffic-related questions. Utilising this readily available data pool, for example, from the HGV tolling scheme, enables significant improvement of the information situation.

The BALM continuously works on exploiting the potential of its data and on making it available to different user groups. Data is analysed using modern statistical methods. Through this, prepared data is made available to the individual stakeholders of transport industry, politics, research or the interested public.

Initially, analyses and results derived from this data will be released as maps and in the newly developed Mautverkehr KOMPAKT format. In future, the section on Traffic data management will be continuously expanded to include new offers. To this end, the BALM will develop methods for traffic data analyses together with the Toll Collect GmbH in future. These will be provided in joint products and pilot studies. This is to harness data for questions of traffic management.

The data used is available in aggregated and anonymized form and will be regularly published on the BALM website.
